Every things running fine tv and silver package internet speed 25/4. I decided to buy a cheap SB5120 modem to replace Comcast's SB5101 rental modem. I call them to give them the mac address and to take off the monthly charges. After about an hour on the telephone, along with listening to their ear piercing elevator music and being transferred 7 times, I got the modem finally provisioned and mac address entered in their system.
Two days later I receive a e-mail at 1AM in the morning thanking me for a new subscription! $39 dollars one time fee for setting up a wifi device, a monthly $5.95 charge for ongoing support of that wireless device. These charges are for a wifi device I don't even own! Everyone knows a sb5101 or a sb5120 is just a modem. Comcast once again caught red handed with bogus charges.
Oh and surprise! I log on to the account and still both modems are on the account. Total incompetency with these clowns. They can't enter in a mac address right, they can't fix or edit anything correctly. I call in to give them my mac address and give them my business and they call it tech support! A computer IT person doesn't need tech support and I certainly don't need a bogus charge for a device I don't own. What a bunch of culls.
