hi guys, if things go according to plan, in the next few weeks, i'm going to be leaving Comcast after 15 years. while they once were the best option in town, their upload rates have long stagnated and moreover, they have been giving me awful upload speeds well below provisioned rates during the provisioning.
anyway, in the past when i swapped into a newer/faster modem, i had to make sure that they deactivated or removed my old modem from my account before i was able to hand it off to a friend or family member. do you guys know if i need to do that in the case when i actually leave Comcast and kill my account or will that happen automatically?
i'd prefer to not end up with a pet rock of a modem that would be good for someone else.
