Hello everyone!
I recently moved into a newer (2018) 3bd townhome. I have Xfinity as my service provider. I haven't noticed any issues since the move (About 1 week).
One thing that is a bit concerning is the downstream channels are coming in "hot" into the modem, around +9 to +10 dbmv. I have 75 ohm termination caps on all the unused coaxial wall outlets in the townhome. I suspect there is a 4 port splitter in the attic (3bd + 1 living room). Do the power levels seem high even after the splitter? Would I possibly be on Node + 0 since the development I am in is so new?
Regardless of those, IIRC +10dbmv is just borderline out of spec? I have been thinking about picking up a PPC FPA6-54 off amazon (6db FPA): https://www.amazon.com/line-Signal-Forward-Attenuator-FPA6-54/dp/B07882H96R
Thoughts?
