For the past few months I've had the cable modem rebooting itself 1-2 times per day but over the past few days it has been 8-15 times per day and occasionally very bad pixelation on digital cable.
When checking the signal on my 6141 it varies like crazy even minutes apart. What would cause this? The drop runs straight to a 2 way splitter. 1 leg goes to the cable modem and the other to my Tivo Roamio Pro. There are no other splitters or connectors in the line. When i remove the splitter and have the modem directly connected the same thing occurs.
Will having a tech out help anything? Phone support is pretty useless. They want to send hits to the modem and have me reboot my computer which are obviously not related.
thanks,
Scooby
