I have the 50m Comcast internet with a SB6121 and an Asus RT-N16 router (factory firmware).
I am using some internet service that has time limitation for each IP. I want to be able to change my IP every day.
I heard that I could change the MAC address of my router to achieve this, but I couldn't find where in my router's setting page to do that. Can anyone point me out where? I did see a "MAC Clone" button in the "Special Requirement from ISP" section in "WAN - Internet Connection", is this the place? The thing is that I need to change to a different IP everyday, and I only have one device, my laptop, to clone.
Or, please let me know if this works: I put a random MAC address in that text box, click Apply-> reset the modem -> change that back to the old and correct MAC address ->reset the modem
Will this give me a new IP? Or will it give just me the old one back?
Thanks a lot!
