Ok.. So i've been away from comcast for quite a few years now after switching to u-verse. But the time has finally come where the X-1 platform along with comcast's advertised speeds are tempting me into returning to them.
I've had a local sales rep come by my house 2 times now over the past 2 years and we've gotten into heated discussions about their internet speeds. My assumption was that when the list a speed of 50mbs that was with powerboost and after a few megs of data you were then throttled down to a lower speed. The sales rep states otherwise though, saying that Comcast does not throttle after the few first meg now.
Is this true? When the say 50mbs does that mean I'm going to get that speed (barring Node over population/ server im connected to speed). Is there no such think as their power boost I was used to back in the late 2000s?
