So I have a family of 3, myself my 4 year old and my wife. Now with the Data caps I have to be a stickler to bandwidth. 4 year old can't use Youtube or Netflix anymore, Wife has to watch her netflix useage.
I'm a huge gamer who does games all digital and have to plan out when I'm going to download my newest game.
I do about 250-275Gb a month with all these restrictions in place.
This is a horrible way to use the internet. How can Comcast realistically think 300 GB is enough these days?
Xbox one and PS4 games are 30-50GB each, Netflix had can be 2-4 GB per hour and with 4k streaming start to hit that could easily hit 6-10GB an hour.
If they want to punish cord cutters why are they punishing people like us that actually have a cable package? I'm more libel to cut my cable package to offset any overages I'm charged by using the internet.
I understand Comcast is not going to give up the golden goose of data caps but gees a much more realistic figure for 2014 would be around 500GB a month.
