[IPv6] I was assigned a new IPv6 prefix...

I came home today and found my internet acting all kinds of weird. After digging for a bit, I finally realized that IPv6 died on my network. Confused, I checked out my router. I found that all of my global address assignments were gone: router01#sh ipv6 int briefCellular0 [down/down] unassignedFastEthernet0 [up/up] unassignedFastEthernet1 [down/down] unassignedFastEthernet2 [down/down] unassignedFastEthernet3 [up/up] unassignedFastEthernet4 [up/up] FE80::226:BFF:FE4A:950NVI0 [administratively down/down] unassignedVlan1 [up/up] FE80::1 I went ahead and invoked a reload on my router and I was assigned a new IPv6 address, but my IPv4 address remained the same as before. I remember making a few posts about this issue potentially being a big problem, but now it turned into reality for me. Now I have to re-write all my firewall rules and change any statics on my network. If there is one downfall to IPv6, this is it right here. While I sucpected this would be an issue, I didn't imagine it would show its ugly face so soon. I really do wonder though, why was I forced a new v6 and my v4 didn't change? (/rant)
