I'm located in Philadelphia, PA.
I have xfinity TV & internet at my house, with an Arris TG862 gateway. To reach the 3rd floor, I have a coax cable that connects to an Actiontec ECB2500C MOCA bridge, from which I get a nice, fast ethernet connection. This setup has been working very well for me for months.
Today I came home, and the Actiontec wasn't getting a coax/MOCA signal. To debug the problem, I tried plugging in the Actiontec at various locations around my house where it had previously worked. Even on a 3 foot coax cable & splitter next to the Arris, the Actiontec won't get a signal. To further debug the problem, I tried using another, known working, Actiontech bridge. The problem persists.
My conclusion is: the Arris TG862 stopped broadcasting a usable MOCA signal. Does anyone have information as to why?
