Location: SE Michigan Problem: First, here is my setup: 1) TC8305C in bridge mode. Hooked directly to outside connection with a splitter. Wired to my router. 2) Asus RTAC66U - wired to PC, wired to Vonage, wireless to various devices Here's what I get. I started noticing that in games and VOIP chat I get hiccups where the game or voice lags/stops/spikes and then continues. Seems to happen every 15-30 seconds, intermittent but performance killing. To troubleshoot I have done the following: 1) Tried to ping -t www.google.com, ping -t 8.8.8.8, ping -t 4.2.2.2 and I see a definite correlation between all three either showing high ping 3k+ms or time out requests and lag spikes in gameplay and VOIP. (see images below) 2) Did the pings above with wireless devices. Same result. 3) Did the pings with PC bypassing router and using TC8305C in non-bridge mode. Same results. 4) Tried to reduce the downstream power closer to 0 using splitters. Same results. 5) Had a tech come to the house. He said there was a ton of lag/jitter/packet loss at the source outside the house. Had ticket transfered to a different group and got a call this morning that it was fixed. Looks like the down power was adjusted. Same results. Repeated calls to comcast support have been useless... Help! This seriously kills gameplay, VOIP, streaming, etc.... Here are some images that might be interesting. 1) Pings: http://imgur.com/a/DCpH1 2) First hop pings: http://i.imgur.com/QcfLo9e.jpg Additional information: Im running a smokeping now... Unable to run a linetest due to member priority
