So I got X1 installed over the weekend and am having issues with the wifi from the XB3 gateway that was installed. I'm seeing very frequent connection drops and extremely slow speeds on the 2.4 gHz band; 5 gHz is flawless. I have selected a channel on the 2.4 gHz radio that no one else is using and all other networks (only a few) are 6 channels or more away, so it's not interference. This is happening on multiple iPhones and laptops, all of which have had no issues on my other two routers. I've tried a few tricks that I read around the internet but seemed unlikely to fix the problem, for instance: keeping the passwords for the two bands different, turning off MoCA, rebooting, etc. None of them helped at all. Connection to the internet seems fine... my hardwired desktop has no issues and speeds tests show over the rated throughput (I have the 50 mbps down, 10 up and am seeing 59 mbps down and 13-14 up). Any ideas?
