Comcast provided me with a DCP3939 to replace their failed TC gateway (would not accept firmware updates/constant reboots). I had ordered a voice backup battery for the TC and naturally it arrived right after they swapped out the TC. A CSR agreed to provide me with the correct battery for the 3939 and not charge me another $40. But I think they sold me a used battery. Here's why.
After several days of charging it reached 96% but has slowly been sliding back and is now at 93% charge even though AC power has not been interrupted. The gateway stats page shows 2340 mAh actual capacity (out of 2400) and 4321 cycles (!) to date.
Before I go through the whole CSR meat grinder again (this will be my 5th phone call and one tech truck rolled, just to "upgrade" my modem), what do you folks think about this battery? Do I have enough proof that it's a used one?
Thanks for any help or comments.
