I just moved and got my connection setup in my new place. The tech said that my line was too hot and put a 5 db two-way splitter on the line to fix the issue. Since my new place hasn't been connected up previously, there are still 4 other coax connections that I need to split as well. They all terminate at a central location so that there are 5 outs and 1 incoming.
1) Is a splitter the correct way to handle this?
2) I haven't seen 6-way splitters with less than -3.5 db per out even though I believe that they are all 2-way 3.5 db splits internally. Or at least, that's how they used to be, I've noticed that the 4+ splitters don't have markings on the out's stating their loss.
