[Rant] Comcast Business Internet Ripoff of Small Business

Hi guys, I have the same issue as http://www.justanswer.com/consumer-protection-law/7qgid-last-september-signed-comcast-business-class-internet.html Comcast forced me into a 3-year contract when I moved my business 2 lights down the road after being 4-year Comcast customer (there was no alternative, we are an online business and live or die by the internet connection). Yes I read the contract, there was no way NOT to sign after you have an office lease and COmcast rep tells you "we'll move account" and then account turns out to be "New" and per comcast rules "requires an agreement". After their service being down several days per month repeatedly for 6 months, and after Verizon FIOS moved into the area, I pulled the plug on Comcast for breach of contract and failure to provide adequate service. We are losing $1000-2000 in revenue every half day Comcast is down. I've returned their box. Comcast refuses to close the account (talked to the reps multiple times), the only way is to sign a paper that lists over thousand dollars in early termination fees. Talked to multiple business reps. Their opinion is "we don't see your calls" (of course they have automated message when you call) and "you should've given us opportunity to fix it" (at $1000+ per pop, sucks to be me). I am stuck right now with potential of a few thousand dollars of either early termination fees or "keep my account dead but pay comcast for 2+ years" type fees. This is THE biggest rip-off I have ever encountered from local utility/service companies. Just FYI never deal with Comcast if you can on a business or contractual level, avoid at all costs.
