Hello everyone!
I am attempting to get access to comcast internet at my home. Currently, I only have access to Verzion 4G LTE which makes internet extremely expensive for low amounts of data (upwards of $100-$120/month). I live back in the woods on a private driveway that is about .25 of a mile long (map of the area provided below). There is a main road that my private driveway is connected to that has Comcast service along it, as well as a neighborhood through the woods about 500-600ft. who have Comcast access. I was considering setting up a weather proof box at the end of my driveway with a modem (which Comcast would provide service to), then using some kind of bridge kit to shoot a signal across a field, at that point i would drop a cable the rest of the way back to prevent shooting a signal through trees. The other idea I had was to just use fiber optic cable to bring it all the way along my private driveway back to my house. I'm having a difficult time determining what method would be best/most cost efficient, or if any of this would even be doable. Another problem is there is no access to electricity at the end of the driveway for a modem, but maybe I could use solar or something? Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Josh
