I'm in the Central Valley of California and for the past week now I've been experiencing high ping in games and lagging/freezing while streaming things, both due to packet loss I believe.

At first it was just early in the mornings from 5am-11am or so, but now it's started happening at nights too. I called Comcast last Sunday and they scheduled a tech to come out Tuesday, but things seemed to be okay on Monday so I cancelled it. But they started up again on Wednesday so I recalled Comcast and they had a tech come out today. The tech stood around while I explained the problem, didn't seem to understand what I was talking about and told me all he could do was check the power levels (they were fine). He changed one wire, told me it was fixed and left. 10 minutes later the problem was still there.

Anyone know if there's anything I can do to fix it myself or if there's a way to get someone who knows what they're talking about at Comcast to look at the problem?
