I don't know where else to ask so I'll try here.
I visited a client today who has just had a new Xfinity Cisco modem/router/wireless device installed and when I or anyone else connects wirelessly to it our laptops get assigned an IPv6 address and NO IPv4 connection. When we try to access certain web sites we cannot connect and are told that they only accept/support IPv4 connections. So, does anyone know 1) if the Xfinity/Comcast config can BLOCK IPv4? 2) if so, how can one remove the block, and 3) any other alternatives to try? This site was working fine a week ago until the modem/router device was changed by Xfinity.
