[Rant] Horrible Company, time to talk to BBB

First of all, I will be sure to oust this everywhere. I am currently a (soon to be ex) Comcast customer. I did have Internet and cable (added later). After getting cable, they sent me the box in the mail. I installed per instructions and proceeded to go though months of anger over it. The cable box spontaneously rebooted itself from the beginning 1-3 times a day which takes about 15 minutes. By the time I cancelled it, it was rebooting 6-8 times a day (in evenings when I was home). I called numerous times over months of service to complain and request techs but the techs didn't show or cancelled appointments. I have every call documented thank goodness. I cancelled the cable March 31 and returned the box via UPS on April 1. I called again to complain and make clear why I was doing this and also requested a partial credit for months of improper service and the CSR obliged, offering me 1/2 the monthly payment back. I, being the happy customer, decided I'd keep my internet because of this man. Now, being the extremely busy person I am and Comcast, being their inept selves and not sending me a paper bill, made me forget all about looking at my bill (dumb mistake I know, but according to their CSR I had a large credit applied anyway so no worries!). Now, I have a collection agency calling me because the credit was not applied so I call billing to work this mess out and they turn the request for the credit over to a supervisor and tell me I will get a call back. I did not receive a call back so today I spend 3 hours on the phone with them trying to get to billing dept. to check the status. I talk to a lady and request her supervisor. The supervisor tells me that the credit will be applied in the next 2 hours and apologizes for the long wait (again I'm a happy customer). So, I get on my account just about 2 hours later to check and see it hasn't been applied and now, there is an unreturned equipment fee on my account! I have the UPS tracking # for the cable box, the receipt for sending it, and can see who signed for it, and what day and time they signed! So, I call Comcast AGAIN today, to find about about this and clear this issue up. I'm directed to a woman in cancellations, because I now want to cancel my internet as well. She looks and tells me that the supervisor I talked to 2 hours ago put a note in saying I denied some offer she apparently gave me (she didn't, and neither did I deny the false offer). She flat out lied to me about the credit being applied! So this lady just removed the unreturned equipment fee (which will probably show up again later) and told me that the first supervisor my credit request went to had denied the request (and never called me back). So, I request her supervisor to call me (won't happen) and tell her I will not pay for improper service when I've had two Comcast employees ensure me now that $130 would be credited to my account, only to find out they lied to me. She tells me it's already been denied so I won't get it, but eventually agrees to have the supervisor call me. This is the most ridiculous company on the face of the earth. NEVER get any service with them unless you want to spend hours on the phone with people that won't help you (only lie to you) and hours at home with horrible cable!
