So we've been in a contract with comcast for almost two years now, it's up in November. As I come to find out as usual they've been shaking us down and unlike Verizion which has graciously upgraded our speeds numerous times both without jacking up the price and allowing us to upgrade and downgrade speed packages during contract. Comcast seems to be dead set on allowing us to do anything and charges us $109 a month for 27/7 Speeds. Ontop of which they've decided to also tack on the $10.00 cable modem rental fee.
So what I'm trying to do is upgrade to the 50/10 package which is listed as $89.95 online granted for new customers although since the contract is almost up I'd renew anyways. But basically it sounds like Comcast won't do anything except wait until November, then if I bundle packages I can get the price and I have to sign a new two year contract.
Anyone have any success with getting Comcast to be friendly?
What I'm trying to do is get the 50/10 $89.95 and add static IPs, I'll renew the contract but the person on the phone said they can't
