I just switched from a SB6120 and MI424-WR to a TC862 (only because of the package deal with the phone to save money).
I have always used the gateway IP as the DNS IP for static clients in the past. (192.168.1.1) .
Seems that does not work with the TC862 for me. Had to go back to all static clients and change DNS to 75.75.75.75 and 75.75.76.76 . So the Arris does not like to be the DNS server for the clients?
DHCP clients are fine.
ALSO
Access from Android and iOS apps and remote web clients to my Lorex DVR has never been a problem in the past. I have the proper ports forwarded in the TC862 still no joy. What else is blocking my access to the DVR? I turned off the firewall all together just to test that still no go.
