I'm on gigabit with an XB6 in bridge mode. 30 minutes ago the internet dropped, but once it came back, I checked the admin page out of curiosity and found my upstream power levels are almost at 60. AFAIK this is way out of spec. I have not noticed any speed issues or packet loss though.
One time I did have a tech say the upstream was too high, so he attacked a splitter to the cable going to the modem to lower it. It's still there.
Is there any risk in leaving it like this, or should I try to get in touch with Comcast about it? In other words, how "dangerous" is it to leave it like this? Will it fry the modem?
