[Connectivity] recent overnight connectivity issues mid-Atlantic

About a month ago I upgraded to Xfinity gigabit service. Speed tests have typically been around 925-940 DL, 40 UL. However over the last few nights (not every night) I've noticed some reduced performance. Still online and functional, modem signals look good (all power levels between -10 and 10, all SNR's in mid 40's, all channels locked, no correctables or uncorrectables except on channel 33 locked "other") - but shaky performance, speeds inconsistent and off by 20-30% (worse on UL), slow to make connections on websites, some timeouts, etc. But sometime around 8am everything clears up and we're back to normal. Is something going on with Comcast's network overnight, or am I having line issues? I've had connectivity issues in the past but those were clearly indicated on the modem status page and I'm not seeing anything there that's any different from when things are running smoothly. FWIW, modem is an Arris SB8200 and my router is a Nighthawk AC3200. I've tried rebooting modem and router, made no difference. Any thoughts?
