The last time my email got hacked was on 9/19/2021. Numerous contacts received emails requesting my assistance with an Apple purchase and the other type of email was a friendly "Hi how are you, may I ask you a favor." I then contacted Comcast Security Assurance and the account was unlocked and my password was changed. As with the first hack, I am using a 15 character cryptic password, I am behind a VPN and my email is managed by Microsoft Outlook.
This time I received 36 mail-daemon@comcast.net emails and again I contacted Comcast Security Assurance who informed me that my Account was locked and had to be escalated to Level 2 for further action which would take 24-48 hours. I tried to change the password thru my Xfinity Account but received the following message:
'In a recent security review, we detected a potential issue with your Xfinity profile. As a precaution, you'll need to reset your password"
Can anyone shed some light on how this keeps happening?
