So I've got a new install business problem, called earlier this afternoon and got everything working for about 20 mins, then it lost static IP connectivity.
So I try to work on the problem this evening had to spend 7 minutes to get through the automated system which forces a modem restart, and you have to call back in 10 minutes. On that call back another 7 minutes in automated stuff to finally forward to an agent. each time 2 rings then just white noise.
The problem in this case is setting up a static IP on a relocation new install.
For the first call the actual fault was mine (plugged into wrong WAN port on cisco router). I found that while on hold with support, told them what I found and that it was all working. They said they had not done anything and thoung I was up! 25 minutes later, the static IP vanishes, and all VPN's crash.
Now I can't even get anyone that can login and see the router settings. As near as I can tell, none of the static IP info is available to the customer in the modem. (yes, probably another case of dumbing it down until it's unusable)
