Just a point of curiosity, but I saw on another thread here that some people are getting 120Mb/s (the usual 20% overprovisioning) downstream speeds on Comcast's nominal-100M plans. Is that only for the new "Connect More", or legacy "Performance" as well? I'm holding off on "upgrading" to the current equivalent of my plan for as long as possible because there would be little or no cost savings, and I'm afraid they might screw something up in the transition.
I'm still seeing only 100Mb/s down, but 12Mb/s up. When Performance was only spec'ed at 75Mb/s, through last year, I was getting about 90Mb/s down. My modem, router, and test host are all definitely connected at 1000baseTX, not 100M, no Wifi is involved, and I disabled traffic shaping before running this speed test. My modem is an 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Zoom 5431j, which ought to still be sufficient for this tier.
