[Equip] New house - looking for modem/eMTA model advice

Hey all, I recently bought a house and will be moving in very soon. With that said, FiOS is not offered in my new area, so I'm looking to setup a Comcast account. While I currently only have a double play with FiOS, (TV/Internet) I plan on going with a Triple Play setup for Comcast. Therefore, I'll technically need a cable modem and an eMTA. Based off my research, it seems that Comcast offers their v1 and v2 Wireless Network Gateways, which include a modem/router/emta all in one. I'm not sure if I will be renting one of these or not yet, but to start out and get settled in it's certainly the easiest option. My question is - what's a recommended setup for those who have HSI and Digital Voice? I know some people who actually have 2 separate boxes, but is that ideal? I've read the newer boxes (WG2) offer 8x4 for channels, which seems reasonable. I'm looking to go with the 105Mbps tier for internet. My worry is that my phone cabinet is in my basement, and I'd like my wireless router to not be. My house is not wired for ethernet, but perhaps I could snake a cable from my TV stand (where I'd like my router to be) to down into the basement somehow. Any advice or comments is greatly appreciated. I will continue to search up and read as well! Thanks, Ace
