Is this really too high are am I over reacting?
1) Usage
Household = 4 users
Devices = 2x Cell phones, 3x tablets, 3x Desktops, 2x Gaming Consoles, 2x handhelds
Online gaming, me personally, I don't do but my kids do a lot.
They also engage in Skype as the medium for communication.
MLB.TV, something that I do do along with Netflix. In the past I used to download a lot off of USENET but those days are behind me.
2) Netflix and Peering agreements
33% of Netflix traffic in North America. Net Neutrality thrown out. Peering agreement paying ISP for their traffic. Why, I mention this? I believe that the landscape will change with caps, tiers and pricing. Majority of customers stream content. Netflix CEO, Hastings argued that everyone should pay for their infrastructure improvement. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!! I don't agree with that assessment. Yes, I use Netflix but I don't expect everyone else that *DOESN'T* use Netflix to pay.
3) 4K content, Netflix, House of Cards. Future will be like this. Nope, I don't have the hardware at this time to support this.
4) Probably next month I'll be installing StrongVPN on Tomato to encrypt my pipe.
So, guys, what do you think?
