On April 1, 2014, when moving and one (1) day before the transfer of Comcast HSI/CABLE installation, Victoria from comcast called asking for SSN. Then she informed that the Audit Dept. at Comcast "found" a Bill from a former address four (4) years prior.
This Comcast Audit Dept. Demanded immediate payment of arounf $260.00+ or they would cancel my transfer installation. Victoria was rude and condecending. I demanded a Supervisor/Management. She said non was available and hung up.
My next day HSI/CABLE instal was cancelled. by this Comcast Rep.
I was called by James, "Supervisor" the next day. He was WORSE than the prior Victoria. Neither could not validate this alleged 4 year old unpaid bill, and I advised I cannot pay unless I am billed, so send the bill and I would be happy to investigate it when I was done moving.
Given this was allegedly over Four (4) years ago and I had continious Comcast HSI/CABLE since then, it was comcast's fault (if true, which I had no idea of being in middle of moving) and they were at fault-not me.
JAMES THE SUPERVISOR did not care, terminated my HSI/CABLE install at my new address (even though I already took time off to be there the next mirning) the next morning!
So now Comcast has begun blatant extortion calling long time paying cystomers, with no proof, demanding payment for mysterious old bills they "discovered" when a customer is moving (not the best time to dig up years prior bills)!
COMCAST takes the top prize for worst customer service with a new low by extortion on alleged unpaid bills they admit they never sent (as surely service would be terminated long ago if some customer did not pay $260.00 bill.
We have filed complaint with the FCC, Michigan Atty. GENERAL, and a police report, as well as retaining a local Statewide Consumer Protection Law Firm to initiate action as We never saw this "alleged" bill, and as James the COMCAST AUDIT and COLLECTIONS Supervisor violated the FDCPA multiple times gleefully, admiting to never sending a alleged bill then demanding immiate payment and threatening termination of service if it was not paid -- and no install came -- so Comcast is an out of control criminal organization in Michigan.
This is pure proof that everyone needs to choose ANY comoany other than Comcast.
