[Bill] Question about discounts on latest bill

Everyone, First, I want to point out that I still do receive paper copies of my bill in the mail. Each month, my mother goes down directly to the local Comcast office and writes them a check in the amount that we owe. We are not enrolled in any auto payment, EcoBill, etc. Next, all screen shots that I will be showing come from the PDF Versions of each bill that is available online to me when I sign into our account. Now, with that out of the way, onto the reason for my post! :) I have a few comments and questions about my latest Comcast bill, which came in the mail yesterday. The billing date on this bill is 04/25/2014. First, I want to point out that my bill reflects the speed upgrade that I got back on April 10th. As a side note, I know it was that date as that is when I posted about it in this thread http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r29170136- My previous bill (billing date 03/25/2014) used to show Performance [attachment=1] And now it shows Blast! [attachment=2] I think this was discussed in the upgrade thread, but I thought they were going to upgrade the speed of Performance to 50/10, and not move people from Performance to Blast? From the looks of my bill, it looks like I upgraded my service from Performance to Blast, when as far as I know, I did no such thing. If I was indeed moved from Performance to Blast, my price is not going to change at some point in the future is it? The other thing I noticed right away is the monthly charges for service. What I'm trying to figure out is why this month's bill is about $90 lower then last months. Here is the summary section for this months bill [attachment=3] Last month's bill summary looks like this [attachment=4] Right away I notice that the "XFINITY Bundled Services" section went from $159.95 down to $109.99 (a drop of $49.96). So, I went and looked at that specific section of the bill. Here is what it shows. [attachment=5] Well, that somewhat explains where the $49.96 drop comes from. However, as I made reference at the beginning of this post, we do not have any kind of auto pay, EcoBill payment, or anything. Each month we get a paper bill, and we manually go and pay them with a check. So, I wonder why it lists "Promo W/$5 Ecobill Disc" when we don't even have that. Not to mention, the discount that it lists is $49.96, and not $5! :) The other thing that caught my attention was the "Partial Month Charges & Credits" section in the summary section. Looking at the full bill, I see this [attachment=6] Again, we have never signed up for Ecobill, so why is that showing up. Not to mention, what changes are they talking about that were made to the account? The only change I know of was the speed increase that took place on April 10th. Speaking of April 10th, there is a final section of my bill called "Other Charges & Credits" that lists this information [attachment=7] It looks like they charged me $15.00 for some kind of "Kit", and then refunded that charge on the same day. I know we did not get any kind of "Kit" in the mail, and we are still using the same Cable TV Set Top Boxes that we have always had, as well as my same modem (Arris TM722G). So, looking at my full bill, I can see where the drop in price comes from. My question now is why are those discounts showing up? Also, will those discounts continue to show up on future bills, and if so, for how long? If they do end, will my bill go back to what it was last month? Thanks in advance for any information that be offered. If more information is needed, just ask! :) --Brian -- ============================ --Brian Plencner E-Mail: CoasterBrian72Cancer@gmail.com Note: Kill Cancer to Reply via e-mail
