Modem DHCP/Ranging Issues?

Anybody in MD having DHCP/Ranging issues with Comcast over the last week (or anyone else in the country seen similar problems in the past)? Symptoms: Modem won't connect (keeps retrying). "Fixes itself" after several hours (presumably when Comcast fixes problem on their end). I've got a Motorola SurfBoard SB6141, which has been ROCK SOLID since installation a couple of months back. From memory: * Download Power: ~1 * SNR: ~37 * Upload Power: ~43 After a few days of use by several people, my aging D-LINK DIR 825 tends to get "tangled-up", so I generally turn-off/on everything in the morning to reset. Never been a problem, but in the last week, 3 times, I've been unable to get a DHCP address from Comcast. This lasts for several hours, during which time my modem says the signal levels are still per above, but in the log, "ranging" and "dhcp" is failing. I figure I'm somewhat unique, in that I power-up/down daily, in the morning (3:30 am this morning, typically more like 4:30 am). I'm probably one of the first to recognize a problem, before Comcast figures-out they have a problem. I keep my COAX in good shape (not exposed outside, except line-in), and my modem is off the first splitter. I check my signals daily, which is why I knew from memory the above levels. I used to have problems like this several years back, but until the last week, Comcast has been very solid. I'm getting fed-up though (I work at home some days), and am thinking of "jumping ship" to Verizon FIOS, in spite of that horrible/huge ONT cludge, and being stuck with a klunky Verizon router (by default, anyway). Anybody else having DHCP or "ranging" problems over the last week? I've got a truck rollin' Saturday evening as a last-ditch effort to increase reliability, but since my signal levels are per above (even when ranging/dhcp fails in logs, and LEDs indicate modem keeps trying to connect), I really don't think the problem is at my residence. Rolling the truck seems like a waste of time for all involved. Sigh...
