[Connectivity] Traceroutes to www.dslreports.com strangeness.

I just discovered that a traceroute to www.dslreports.com using my Comcast connection, my backup U-verse connection, and a tethered AT&T cell phone all go through several Comcast routers. I guess that Comcast is really expanding and has become a part of the Internet backbone even for AT&T connections -- very unexpected. FWIW, to prevent any possibly interaction with my LAN, I setup the U-verse test to use an isolated VLAN. I also logged into the U-verse router and did the traceroute from inside the router (it still went through the Comcast routers). I also totally disconnected the PC's Ethernet connections for the tethered cell phone test. Access to www.dslreports.com does indeed seem to go through the Comcast network (at least from my Middle TN location). -- We can never have enough of nature. We need to witness our own limits transgressed, and some life pasturing freely where we never wander.
