[Install] ZINWELL 2 to 4 Multiswitch Left from old connection. How to fix?

Hi, I just moved into a duplex and inside of the unit there are 3 MALE coax cables coming from the floor (1 in the bedroom, 2 in the living room). I tried connecting my modem to each of these connectors for my XFINITY service I started, but the modem is unable to connect. I called tech support and they are sending out a technician in a few days, but I'd like to resolve the matter myself so I don't have to shell out the cash, especially since I'm a poor grad student. What the tech support person on the phone and I think is that the old tenant my apartment had either DIRECTV or dish network, and that the male coax cables coming from the floor in the apartment are actually still connected to the satellite, not the cable line. Furthermore, the last time comcast was provided at this address was 5 years ago, so there is a good chance what I am describing is the actual problem. I went outside of the duplex and I've attached a picture of what I see, which is a ZIMMEL box of some kind. I've already spoken to the other tenant that lives in the other duplex (not the tenant from my apartment), and she uses U-VERSE, so messing with the coax cable wouldn't have any effect on her service. On the ZINWELL box, there are two white cables plugged into the right side, the top port says "18 V SAT", the bottom says, "13 V SAT", and the white cables say DIRECTV on them. The dangling cable on the right hand side of the picture is connected to the powerline. I tried connecting that cable to the 13 V side, but still the modem didn't work. I'm about to go try the 18 V side and see if that works, but I thought I should post here first. The four coax cables coming from the left hand side of the box say "RX1, RX2, RX3, and RX4". So basically, I'm trying to connect the cable to the house, XFINITY cable that is (just internet). I don't need the satellite dishes connected anymore. What should I do? Thank you!
