[Rant] Modem disabled

I just got upgraded to extreme 105 yesterday, and they sent out a tech who was clueless and a new modem which is a cisco all in one. I called and tried to get it put in bridge mode, but if they send a signal it disables all the wan ports on the back so you cant use your router. After several attempts the tech gave up sent it a normal signal and it worked again with my external router. After about 30 mins it crapped out again. I checked running the cable from the modem straight to my laptop and had no signal emitting from the modem. After another spell on the phone with tech support, I was informed that you cannot bridge the new cisco modem/routers and have to have the wifi disabled instead. Unfortunately as nice as the tech was, she missed that I was connected straight to the modem, and not going through my new wrt1900ac, and insisted the modem was fine and was having to send a tech out in 5 days to check the new modem. So now I have to use my cell as a wifi hotspot to check my email and forums. Does any one have any ideas if I can call and try it all again or just wait?
