A while ago our Internet started slowing down so I checked the signals on the modem and sure enough some downstream channels were going in and out. The log also gave a pretty good indication that something was wrong. When I called I got the usual outage message and an estimated time when service would be restored. Everything was restored pretty quickly.
Not long after I received a call from someone local working for Comcast in the Network Department or something. She said that Comcast received calls about problems and asked if our service was okay. This might be Comcast protocol but it's nice having someone from Comcast (especially local) call and ask if everything is alright now.
I wish every interaction with Comcast was this smooth. :D
