I have a Zoom 5350 modem/router. I use this when in Florida with comcast.
Last year all worked well, I had wired and wireless connectivity and decent speeds.
This year when I arrived I called comcast and spent over an hour on the phone trying to get set up. Most of the time was spent with on holding, sales and billing in some accent I had trouble understanding. The last 10 minutes was with a "technician".
She set me up and had to "reset my modem" to connect my computer. That worked and then, after I hung up, I tried to connect my phones via the wireless set up on my modem.
I had changed nothing on the modem or 2 phones, An Android 4.4 and 5. They did not connect. I tried my wireless on 2 computers running win 7, they did not connect.
I reset the password and it still did not connect.
Could comcast have done something to MY modem to screw it up?
If so could I get comcast to undo what they did or would a hard reset to the modem work or do I need to get a wireless modem and plug it into the Zoom?
Any other suggestions are welcome but comcast is the only game in town.
Thanks,
Stu
