So I'm pretty excited that Google Fiber is coming to Atlanta even if it is not going to serve the exact area I live in. Most of ATL live in the Suburbs surrounding ATL.
But I hope the competition will kick Comcast in the balls and prompt them to drop these stupid unrealistic 300GB caps.
In Georgia for most people your choices are Comcast or ATT DSL which usually maxes out at 6MBPS. So essentially for real broadband most people in the state do not have a real choice.
How does Comcast handle thing in cities where they have good competition? Are they capless? have they actually dropped caps?
Right now with a 5 year old son and a stay at home wife dealing with the data cap is one of the most annoying things I have to do. Each month it is me trying to be bandwidth dictator, taking away netflix, youtube, hulu, amazon etc when we start getting near the cap. I'm always right on the cap it is so annoying.
