I finally upgraded my old docsis 2 modem to Comcast's new Arris TC8305C. My connection is great with low pings and good signal levels. But what is strange is that the IP that was assigned to it traces to New Jersey even though I'm in Minnesota. It's not the end of the world, but I'm just wondering why that happened and if I'll ever get a Minnesota IP. Any thoughts on this?
