cutting right to the chase, has anyone noticed any buffering or stream quality differences while streaming netflix over [Comcast] IPv6 versus IPv4?
I'm not entirely sure there that I'm experiencing an issue or not, but I've noticed what *appears* to be a difference in stream bitrate/quality while streaming netflix over IPv6, compared to when I disable IPv6 and then stream the same movie over IPv4.
I guess, basically, what I'm asking is if anyone can try streaming some netflix movies (HD movies, SD movies, whatever floats your boat), try it both IPv4 and IPv6 and see if you notice any buffering, stream bitrate, or quality differences..
for shits and giggles, my testing has been done using a vanilla, updated, windows 7 virtual machine (vm has 4GB of ram, 60GB HDD and 4 cores carved out for it, bridged networking). Xubuntu 13.04 host, 16GB ram, core I7..
I verify both IPv6 and IPv4 connectivity is working, (i use ipvfoo extension on chrome to see what's what), then I selectively disable IPv6 when I test IPv4 only.
anyways, I'm sure i'm leaving out some other technical details, but the bottom-line goal here is to see if anyone else is experiencing any differences.
