I have been having trouble with my rented ARRIS modem on Comcast keeping its connection. Every so often the modem would loose connection and stay off disconnected for whatever amount of time. I tried changing the splitter its behind at the suggestion of the Comcast help line. Finally I decided it must be the modem and I may as well just buy one. So picked up a Motorola SB6121 at Walmart and took it home and plugged it in and it just worked. Right Out of the box. No walled garden no registration. It booted and connected and bonded the channels and all lights are blue. Speed up my connection too. My question is. This shouldn't have happen, right? I should have had to register it on my account right?
