I'm having very strange issues with my connection lately. I've had two maintenance visits, two in home techs, and promises that I would get calls from managers and/or head end guys to explain whats going on. Strangely today I'm getting very odd results, and I think I'm going to swap my modem. Below is a few trace routes from this morning.

These are traces to comcast.net.
The original issues now popped up about two weeks ago. Speed tests were coming back at 15-50 download, and 3-6 upload.
I could trace to comcast.net without issue, but the first hop after my router was roughly 80ms. Second hop would be back down to 30ms, and increment up from there. That to me is wrong, and shows an issue?
I think I'm going to get in touch with comcast corporate, I've had major issues in the past and without them getting involved things really dont get done.
Anyone know why my traces would come back with this now? Keep in mind I'm connected to the internet still, and directly connected to the modem right now.
