I posted on direct support for a while, and this problem has been going on for a while now. Thought you guys could give some advice.
I lag like crazy randomly in video games, or anything. My speeds are always fine.
I have xtreme 105, a 5341j, and a wndr3700. I have tried seperate modems including a tc8305c, a sb5101, and a 5341. They all handle the jitter somewhat differently, the 5341 handled it the best(non j).
I have tested with and without the wndr3700, it's not the issue.
I have tested different computers, they all jitter.
Cable signals are perfect:

ComcastVic left me this picture
[att=2]
Saying my signals were all good.
So they did send a tech. He replaced the cables with a new drop to the tap. Same issue.
I even tried directly connecting that cable to the modem, and the issue is still there.
Whenever I am lagging and I tap f5 on my modem signals, they are all very well behaved. ComcastVic also said he ran a monitor on my signals, and they were always good.
This is not limited to one game, people have accused me of lag hacking because of how severe it is. I can go from 20 ping to 900, for a second and then my netgraph becomes triangles of jitter of 100ms.
[att=3]
A significant amount of the jitter seems to happen at the same time everyday. I am barely using any bandwidth during those times, if any.
My friend who has cableone, and a zoom5341j also has a similar issue in Texas. He warps unbelievably, and cableone said they knew they had a issue. His friends who live next to him also lag crazy.
[att=4]
His signals are also great.
Apparently cableone just fixed his issue, recently, but his signals are still the same as that picture.
What do you think it was? He was definitely not using the Internet during his insane lag. Sometimes his internet was great, sometimes it was just unusable. He always got his rated speeds too even when lagging. My symptoms are exactly the same.
Here is what my netgraph looks like when I'm lagging. The base of that is 200 ping(when my normal is 20 ping) and the spikes to 999
[att=5]
This is not limited to this game. Nobody else in the server lags besides me, many of who have Comcast.
This issue was not here last year. It came back after after summer. Around that time AT&T put up LTE, but I'm not sure if that's related. Before my downstream channels were at the 700,000 range and I had hundreds of thousands if not millions of errors on two channels. Comcast seemed to have noticed, and moved the downstream to the 500-600mhz range and the problem is no longer here. Before when the downstream was at 700mhz, and there was no LTE, there were no errors on those two channels.
I really have no idea at this point. I'm going to ask if they can replace the tap.
Thanks dudes.

It's kinda sad I've been reduced to playing games on a USB LTE device lol =/
EDIT: Also the lag starts(the jumps on that graph, from 18:00 to 5am)
I am always lagging, but it gets unusable at those times.
