Are these Modem Notices ok?

I have a Netgear CM1200 modem connected to Comcast. I see no errors reported, correctible or uncorrectible, and very seldom do I see any log messages other than Notice ones. But I have noticed a lot of Notice ones lately - in the last 3 days, there are 40. They look like the one below, the 2 MAC addresses match my modem and I assume something in the comcast network. The channel is always 33. The Event Type codes are: 16 - 5x 20 - 15x 22 - 13x 24 - 7x Is this anything to be concerned about, and what are the 16,20,22,24 event codes or are they documented anywere so I can learn? Thanks! CM-STATUS message sent. Event Type Code: 22; Chan ID: 33; DSID: N/A; MAC Addr: N/A; OFDM/OFDMA Profile ID: N/A.;CM-MAC=XXXXXXXXXX;CMTS-MAC=XXXXXXXXXXXXXX;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;

Netgear IPv6 Problems With Comcast

I live in Montgomery County, MD and I currently have the Netgear RAX45 router which is connected to an Arris SB8200 modem. Consistently IPv6 disconnects after an hour or two and the only way to get it back is to reboot the router. I also tried IPv6 with the Netgear R6900P and the Netgear R6300 with the same results. I tried this with a different modem with the same results. Anyone else having IPv6 problems with a Netgear modem?

Received a firmware update to my Netgear CM1000v2 on 4/13 in the 2am hour, and found I can no longer access the modem's configuration UI at 192.168.100.1 from behind a NAT. Anyone else seeing this issue?

[NEWS] D4.0 breakthrough / ESD cascades / Death of Node+0?

https://www.fiercetelecom.com/telecom/docsis-40-breakthrough-could-enable-esd-cascades-without-performance-loss Caught this intertwining bit on fierce telecom We'll see what it actually means and enables. If it actually works well it could be the death of Node+0 The industry sources did not share the technical details of the expected announcement. But Heynen speculated Remote-PHY nodes could give operators more flexibility to adjust OFDM signals and install high pass filters to help prevent signal degradation. Remote-PHY is one of the technology options for a new distributed access architecture operators are looking to adopt as a step on the road toward DOCSIS 4.0.

Happened to notice that the downstream light on my MB8611 is blinking. Looking at signals they all look good and only indication of any issues were some noticeable hiccups in my afternoon google meets and zoom session. Frequent disconnects and errors after months of no issues

Hello, For the past week or so, my CAX80 modem/router has been consistently being disconnected, has been showing errors 16 & 24 in the log, and at times only bonding to 1 DS channel. I have attached my connection stats after I just reconnected to see if maybe something is up with my levels (which would be a little weird just because absolutely nothing has changed in my setup). Any advice you might be able to provide would be much appreciated! Kevin

Hey all back with comcast after about 6 years of AT&T. I have the low grade 50/10(60/12) tier. [Rant] Sigh... upload issues have returned.

So some of you might have recalled my upload issues and trying to get them resolved was a massive pain. It appears they are back yet again. It's been fine for the last two and a half months and re-appeared again. Same behavior as last time. Multi-Stream TCP uploads i'll get 42 Mbps but attempt to upload a file to google drive, dropbox, or any service and it's down to 2 Mbps today. This is complete bullshit. It might be upstream noise again but i'm thinking it might be them throttling. I'm sick of dealing with this bullshit. Get me off of shitty DOCSIS and onto fiber already... Of course no visible signal problems or error logs. Not worth trying to get somebody out here because it will be the same trio of incompetency that nothing is wrong. Hopefully it will resolve itself again.

Two factor authentication not working with Comcast

I tried to set up an online account with a bank which already had my land line phone number with Comcast. Their system needed to send an authorization code & I selected to receive a phone call because a text wouldn't work. But I never received a code, & tried several times. I called & they said it wasn't working because it was VOIP. I said what's that got to do with it? It's a phone call & it works when another bank calls me. Of course the rep has no idea why it doesn't work. Is there some reason a system generated 2FA code could not be sent via a phone call when using VOIP? Again it works with another bank? Is it something technical & the one bank isn't doing what's necessary? Or could it be they think it's just not secure?

dhcp lease time

[Equip] Zoom 5370 Still Supported?

$

Today my internet stopped working. The landing page says there is a balance due, however I am on autopay with the next payment due 15 May. After MUCH frustration I was able to get a live agent. ( Tip: saying agent or operator does not work, press 0 many times ). He tried to reconnect my account after verifying it was current but was unable and the department that does that with "super powers" is off until Monday. We tried adding the existing modem back into the account but his system said (and the "back office" verified) that the MAC was not recognized. So, does Comcast still support the 16x4 Zoom 5370 modem on the 300 tier? I did not see any Zooms listed on the "approved list" just now when I checked. So is it EOL? If it is, I will not waste any more time with Comcast until I can put the Docsis 3.1 in my closet on the Coax.

how stupid, getting rid of the gateway configuration website

$

It was bad enough when they started taking features out of the gateway's own internal web page and making you use the corporate web page. (What if your internet is down?) Then they started disabling features altogether (like changing your wifi channels). Now, they want to get rid of the web page and make you do everything (whatever options are going to be left, that is) using the app. Like I want to do everything squinting at a tiny little screen and poking at a tiny little keyboard. (And what if you don't even have a mobile device?)

What are each of these (nodes/amps)?

This area was redone about 2ish years ago, just before the pandemic. I was told it was made to Node+0 standards, no idea if its true. First (sorry for angle) is a pretty square cube. 1 in 1 out. If it makes a difference, I know theres one of these before a single line enters a local hotel to cover all its rooms. 2nd and 3rd are same (to my eye) being a narrow rectangle, not the big fat rectangle nodes Ive seen elsewhere on here. With a mix of 1 or 2 connections to a side (for a total of 3 or 4). The third picture has a power meter/box on the ground. I have a mix of these along a 4 mile road. The power meter one is near the end of the fiber termination, with the overall end of line about a quarter mile a way.

MB8600 Modem - Lost an upstream channel

MB8600 Modem - Lost an upstream channel For some reason I can tell based on the event log reported by the modem, out of 4 upstrean channels , I only see 3 now. Midco tech checked and didn't find anything wrong. There are 4 channels seen on his test meter. The 4th channel has 40dBv but modem won't show it. Not sure if that would cause these events in the modem?. Does anyone know what would be the possible cause of these ?
