It seems like I had been complaining for too long about how xfinity was forcing us )by their inaction) to share a single line from the street with our neighbor, and the resulting signal problems.
But our neighbor called tech support to complain about those same signal issues, and got action in the form of a truck roll yssterday.
I wonder a little bit about the line tech. He installed an enclosure outside. But he called it an "epon", which I thought was fiber tech, and we are definitely on Coax.
And then, instead of running a second line from the street, he took the shared line and wired it exclusively for our neighbor's use - leaving us with no signal at all. Then he drove away as fast as he could.
Xfinity couldn't send another truck roll until this morning. But they added a second line from the street. And now our signal levels are 3.5db better and a lot more stable than before.
Too bad for xfinity that we are already pre-registered for fiber in the near future.
