Is the higher price tag of Extreme 105 worth it, in comparison with Blast! 105 Mbps? I would appreciate if someone who has experienced both tiers gives me suggestions and/or recommendations.
I am moving in an area in Boson, MA, where Comcast is a monopoly cable ISP. So, I need to choose one of their plans. Comcast website offers two promotions that are specific to the area: Extreme 150/20 Mbps with $89.99/month for 6 months, and Blast! 105/10 Mbps with $59.99/month for 12 months. After the promo period ends, Extreme 150 and Blast! 105 will go up to $114.95 and $76.95, respectively.
Naturally, the higher price tag of Extreme 150 is due to its faster download/upload speed than that of Blast! 105, but I am wondering if the price difference ($30/moth during promo, $38/month afterwards) is well worth it.

Although Extreme 15 is 50% faster in download than Blast! 105, at least on paper, practically, adding 50 Mbps to 105 Mbps may not make so much difference. The upload speed of Extreme 150 is twice as fast as that of Blast! 105, so this may make quite a noticeable difference. But I am not so sure if it is worth the $30-40/month difference.
FYI, I plan to subscribe only to the internet. No TV nor voice. I use the Internet service mostly for browsing/emailing, streaming (from YouTube or similar, but not Netflix), data communication (transfer of quite large files/images/sounds), and teleconferencing, but not for gaming. I have been using RCN 50/10 Mbps for years, but I felt that the network was somewhat slow (but not terribly slow) for my purpose, thus looking into the faster plans such as Extreme 105 and Blast! 105.
Any suggestions and recommendations are welcome.
