Just rebooted modem and below are stats after about 5 minutes. I am in Roseville California and Comcast has been doing a lot of work out here and we have many outages :( How do these signals look? The downstream power was always in the positive 2 to 3 range and now all negative and getting corrected errors that I never have when things are working as they should. Calling Comcast always results in them saying nothing useful. I wish they would be honest and tell customers what they are actually doing and why they keep coming out to fix things instead of resolving the underlying issues. My speed and connection seem fine right now but who knows for how long it will last. Every week or so it goes down and I see trucks in the area. I try to talk to them and they seem to know nothing! they just swap out the cable ends that look perfectly fine! If they keep doing this the cables will be too short and they will need to put in extension connectors :(

[Connectivity] 3.1 modem but no OFDM channel lock
I just upgraded to a netgear CM1150V modem from the netgear C7100v so I can use my own router.
Activation was great using the walled garden and it was added to my account right away.
I am on the blast package 150mb down and with the C7100v I always saw my advertised speeds.
With my PC directly connected to the CM1150V I noticed that speeds were only around 30mb max. (I tested the entire weekend) and showed the exact same speeds through the router.
I do have 31 channels locked but no OFDM channel locked.
I'm pretty sure 3.1 has already been deployed in my area as they are offering the gigabit packages. (Kendall, FL)
I talked to tech support and they couldn't see anything wrong and verified that the correct prov. file was loaded.
I already posted in the direct forum but no reply yet so I wanted to see if any of you had and suggestions.
The questions I have is regardless of the plan I'm on shouldn't the modem lock to an OFDM channel?
Do any of you with the CM1150V have any similar problems with slow speeds?
Signals attached as well as my error log.

[Connectivity] Short (1 or 2 minutes) connection drop-outs

I've been experiencing short connection drop-outs lately. One, sometimes two a day. Not every day, maybe a couple three times a week.
The drop-outs are short, lasting only a minute or two. But this is a new occurrence here.
I checked the modem during one of the drop-outs, and saw this:
[att=1]
In my router logs, I see these entries:

That check is made apprx once a minute.

I recently (three months ago?) upgraded to a MB6800 modem. I wonder if that is an issue here?

Upstream improvements in HFC systems?
So what can actually be done in HFC systems to improve upload speeds?
DOCSIS 3.1 is supposed to improve upon this. Question is how wide of a upstream channel can you have in the real world without issues.
Curious what Comcast systems have actually deployed a OFDMA upstream and how wide it is and what kind of throughput it gives.

[Bill] Has anyone used Adjust Bill Dat
I'm curious if anyone has used the Adjust Bill date that's available in My Account? If so, any problems?
I've done this w my electric company with no problems. But we're talking about Comcast billing :).
FWIW I do NOT use auto pay so that's not a concern. Just wondering about MAYBE changing due date to something more convenient.
Thanks.

[Signals] Signals are still horrible after 2 declared outages today
I’m in Delran, NJ. Sometime around 4 pm Saturday April 6, my TV picture started breaking up and my Internet got a bit sluggish. I called into Comcast and while on the phone an outage was declared. I thought well at least they’ll work on it. I went outside and talked to my neighbor who mentioned his TV kept cutting out too.
An hour later the outage was marked as resolved and things were a bit better, but my signals were still jumping all over the place. The SNR reported by my modem and Tivo ranged from 23 to 39 as the signals dropped and returned to normal. Around 5:45 pm I called Comcast again and was talking to someone who said my signals were in the red and scheduled a tech for Monday. About that time my modem went offline and another outage was declared.
5 minutes later my modem was back online, but TV was still out. The outage was marked as resolved around 6:15 pm. For about 3 minutes after that everything was working, but after that the TV started breaking up again. As of around midnight, my TV has been out. My modem is online with horrible signals, though oddly a ping test run here passed. That despite all the errors in the attached screen shot were from the last few hours since I powered cycled my modem.
http://www.dslreports.com/pingtest/nil/3511176
So basically after 2 declared outages, both which were marked as resolved after less than an hour, I’m still having problems. Is there some way to get Comcast to declare another outage considering my neighbors are also having issues?
Edit:
My Internet is now also shot. I’m gettting less than 1 Mbps down. Tried calling Comcast and got their overseas support which is arguably worse than getting no one at all since they tried to send a reset signal and when that didn’t work recommended that my modem and cable box be replaced. Comcast needs to get rid of whatever overseas company they use. Not that the American call center is all that helpful either, but at least they run line diagnostics instead of just recommending I tighten all the cables.
Bottom line though is I still have no TV and Internet is severely degraded.

So this is something I just noticed. I got a new modem on Saturday and it seems the usage meter isn't updating.
Does it take a few days to fully update?

[Connectivity] Connection Issues at Times
Hello All
Connection issues at times, Laptop at times unable to display page, sometimes shows unidentified network/or wifi as public, eventually goes back to Normal though and works mostly fine. Gateway modem (Netgear C7100V) is on same floor, one wall away, Smart tv works fine wirelessly on 5G connection (that is in same room as laptop)
both systems run Avast Free Antivirus
Desktop experiencing lag in games/crashes at times, Modem has been restarted earlier this week, still a bit of issues
*Willing to Drop Avast and see if works better after that*

ETF if moving from regular Gigabit to Gigabit Pro?
My wife and I recently sold our home for more than we were expecting (unexpected 4-way offer situation) and I might have convinced her to let me get Gigabit Pro at our new home, assuming it's available (it shows up under the new address, but I know it depends on the survey, etc).
I recently signed up for regular Gigabit with a 1-year contract. If I elect to get Gigabit Pro, will I be charged the ETF for breaking the contract? In the past I have been able to switch speeds while under contract with no penalty, but I believe Gigabit Pro is under the Metro-E umbrella, so I assume it's a whole different account of some sort?

[CustSvc] Comcast opens hotspots in Nashville for NFL draft
PSA - if you’re in downtown Nashville for this NFL draft thing, Comcast will be opening the hotspots for everyone from today through Monday.

Xfi Advantage in West Region does not include removal of cap
I called Xfinity and spoke to them about the availability of Xfi advantage in the West region (Denver). They told me it would be available tomorrow ( March 22,2019) but when I asked about the unlimited (uncapped) feature of the Xfi advantage they told me they didn't think that was a feature. The customer service agent researched the question and called me back. The customer service agent was told by a product manager that in the west xfinity will not be including unlimited cap for the Xfi Advantage package in the west.
The central region is getting a much better deal, and I think that is mostly due to the lack of competition in our market.
I have attached a picture from another customer showing what is being offered in the Central Region.

Data Usage Meter Question
Replaced our main TV box this morning, got stuck on boot displaying on front of it, no matter what tried couldn't get it to boot up
Replaced with XG1V4
Some reason our data usage meter reset as well, shows less than 1gb used for April, is that a problem should be concerned on, earlier said 547gb used before this morning

Replacement for SMCD3G-CCR
Currently I have SMCD3G-CCR with Comcast Business and static IP. I am upgrading my speed to 150M and apparently they have to replace the gateway. What modem/gateway is recommended as a replacement for SMCD3G-CCR?

Poor downstream performance. Should I call for service?
I signed up and self-installed Xfinity 3 weeks ago. Since then, I have had at least 2 outages lasting several minutes.
I tried power cycling the cable modem (Netgear CM500, new from Amazon) and it didn't help.
I've captured the connection status page. Only 4/16 downstream channels looks clean. When I first installed 3 weeks ago, I saw 15/16 channels locked and my downstream speed used to be 60Mbps. Now it is around 12Mbps.
