earlier today surfing the web everything fine did a speed test download normal around 120mbps and upload normal at around 12mbps then surfed the web for a few more hours checked again download normal 120mbps but upload only 0.35 mbps.tried everything rebooted everything,different computers,also connected cable modem directly to computer still the same 0.35 upload.ever since then up to now still 0.35 upload almost non existent.must be on comcasts side? never had this problem.

i know to have a large number of correctables on the OFDM channel is normal but when that number gets real high is there a time when it resets itself or you have to reboot the modem?

[Connectivity] Internet Essentials 5G or cable?
Forgive me if it's a stupid question but is the Internet Essentials truly wireless 5G, or is it fed by a cable into an apartment? I want to apply for my mother but she doesn't was too much exposure to RF, she she'd prefer a cable one. She is in 07302, Jersey City, NJ.
I hope this won't turn into a conspiracy topic on RF though... Just trying to understand this technical aspect of the program.

Odd Upstream Speedtest Results
I did some Ookla speedtests with the Cloudflare server in the Miami FL area and got some odd upstream results. I have the 1200/35 plan that rarely goes over 42 on most upload speedtests & today I get 2 in the 93 range with a 10 in between. Was that just an error or how did that happen?

Modem rebooted overnight. New firmware:

Also there's an annoying notice box on the modem's web interface now:
"We recommend using our Mobile Application - SURFboard Central - for better experience configuring and accessing new features customized for your device."
Not sure why I would want to use a phone app to see my modem stats when a web browser does the job fine.
No apparent differences in latency or speed so far.

"Doing away with customer owned modems on both sides"
I just got a followup call from Comcast Business, since I called last week about upgrading my speed but they couldn't provide a deal I was happy with. I mentioned that the deals they offered were no good, that the price went up after one year and again the second year and that they didn't want me to use my own modem.
She said something to the effect that "Comcast is moving away from customer owned modems on both sides (I assume meaning business and residential) and making customers with their own modems pay full price."
This is really disconcerting; the biggest advantage to Comcast over AT&T right now for me is being able to use your own modem. Has anyone else heard about this "moving away from customer owned modems" and should we be worried? On the consumer Xfinity site you can still sign up with your own modem and still get the normal discounts as far as I can see. I'm hoping to move to residential next year once my contract is up.

if i am getting correctable errors on lets say 2 certain frequencies and i am certain that it is not in my residence and it is somewhere in my area my street or next street over,then will all my neighbors close to me see those same errors?

Comcast business phone service w/ existing PBX
I don't know if this is the right forum for this, didn't see anything just for business or phone.
We are getting a quote for adding Comcast phone service for our business and we have an existing Compact ICS Nortel Phone System.
Would the Comcast phone service be able to work with this? I asked the sales person and he said yes of course, but I know how sales people work.

[Signals] Coax connection to nowhere
Coax connection to nowhere.
An old TV recently died and was recycled. The desktop box was returned to Comcast. The coax was rolled up and left behind the cabinet with no connection.
Is this open connection coax a source of noise or interference on my system?
I can disconnect the coax at the terminal box outside but that leaves a splitter with an unconnected output. Or I can just leave the situation alone. Any thoughts?

How is a congested node's throughput divvied up?
I'm still suffering from 15-20Mbs upload during afternoon & evenings. A combination of a congested node & only 3US is just brutal. So, I'm considering downgrading my 1200/35 service since I can't get what I'm paying for most of the day.
But, when a node is congested, how is its throughput divided up between users? Is it proportional to provisioned speed, i.e. will a 1200/35 user still have more upload available to them than a 800/20 user during times of congestion? Or does the 1200/35 user just get their top shaved off first?
My fear is downgrading to 800/20 and then just getting 10-15Mbs!

CM1000v2 Firmware Update broke NAT routing to 192.168.100.1?
Received a firmware update to my Netgear CM1000v2 on 4/13 in the 2am hour, and found I can no longer access the modem's configuration UI at 192.168.100.1 from behind a NAT. Anyone else seeing this issue?

[Account] Comcast CSR's and system is annoying
So a couple months ago I moved, I have a good size credit so I didn't bother logging into my account till now.
Well when I did I found they made a new account instead of just changing the address of the account (What utter BS), and I don't have access to that new account.
I don't want to lose access to the past 6+ years of billing info (IE for historical reference incase anything comes up that needs info from that)
WTF, is it so hard to just change the address on an account?
And now I've had to repeat the same thing several times to the same CSR, who seems to have broken the account as I can't access the "my account" page which she keeps directing me to.

That wire was already installed in Townhome when moved in and had Professional install on November 8th 2019
