[Install] Grounding Splitter

Hi. I've done a search but haven't been able to find a definitive answer. Comcast ran all coax on the exterior of my house. I want to run new lines inside and get rid of the mess outside. In order to do this, I am going bring the cable directly into my attic from the pole. From there (about 8' from where it will penetrate the house) it will go into a 4-way splitter, then to modem, tv, etc. My question is: I know it needs to be grounded once it enters the house (it's already grounded at the pole). Can I run a ground from that screw on the splitter to the ground on a nearby 3-prong receptacle/outlet? There is an electrical sub-panel nearby, and I suppose I could run a copper wire from the splitter down the access hole in the attic (where the main cable for that panel comes in) and attach to the ground bar. However, panel work always makes me nervous since I don't know much about electricity (yes, I would certainly shut off power to that panel before doing anything). Apologies if this has been asked and answered before, but I was unable to find anything. Thanks, Tyler
